Anna Bencriscutto

WILMINGTON, Ohio - Freshman Anna Bencriscutto (Oro Valley, Ariz./Ironwood Ridge) had her Wittenberg coming-out party at the Wilmington Fall Invitational, rising to the top of the team for a season-high ninth-place finish. She finished 5.5 strokes below her season average in the tournament for a successful weekend.

Consistently one of Wittenberg's strongest golfers, Jennifer Petro (Lousiville, Ky./Sacred Heart) tied for 17th on the weekend for a team finish of second, and Sara Mewhort (Sylvania, Ohio/Toledo St. Ursula) placed 25th overall for the team's third-best performance.

Overall the team placed fifth of nine teams in a highly competitive field, behind tournament winner and national powerhouse Otterbein, Ohio Northern A, Baldwin-Wallace, and Ohio Northern B.
