SPRINGFIELD — Wittenberg junior Taryn Cash (Cincinnati, Ohio/Princeton) was named the North Coast Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 12-18.

This marks the first such honor for Cash this season and the fourth overall for the team in 2023-24. Junior Riane Burton (Houston, Texas/Cypress Ranch) earned the recognition on Jan. 2 and 23, and senior Jade Simpson (Edgewood, Ky./Holy Cross) was recognized on Dec. 19.

Cash's accolade this week comes after she helped lead the Tigers to a 75-57 win at Oberlin and a 76-73 victory at Ohio Wesleyan to clinch a share of the NCAC regular-season championship for the second straight season.

She tallied 12 points, seven rebounds and eight assists against Oberlin and added team-highs of 19 points and eight assists to go with four rebounds against Ohio Wesleyan.

She was a combined 7-for-7 from the foul line in the two games, including a 6-for-6 showing in the key season-finale showdown at OWU.

Cash has 128 assists this season, which is a program record for single-season assists. Her 259 career assists rank fifth all-time in program history.

She is averaging 8.7 points, 4.2 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game this season.

The second-seeded Tigers return to action tonight hosting seventh-seeded Kenyon at 8 p.m. in the quarterfinals of the NCAC Tournament.
