Red & White Take Down Battling Bishops on Road

Delaware, OH- Wittenberg headed to Delaware, OH for their first conference game on the road this season. The Tigers who have a split record on the road looked to take their recent winning streak over to Branch Rickey Arena. With a 56-49 final score, Wittenberg was able to claim their third conference win and improve their overall record to 11-3.

The Tigers shot 40.4% from the field, 35.7% in three points, and 56.3% from the line. Wittenberg was able to put 56 points on the board being led by guard, Kelsey Ragan with 16 points and four rebounds. Defensively, the Tigers were backed by Jade Simpson with eleven rebounds.

Wittenberg was able to land 16 points in the first quarter but with a low scoring 8 points in the second to head into halftime with 24 points on the board. The Red & White were able to come out in the third quarter with 17 points, outscoring the Battling Bishops by three to keep a tight 41-35 score. Wittenberg put up 15 in the final quarter to claim a final score of 56-49, going 3-0 in conference play.
