Tigers Add Second Conference Win

Springfield, OH- Wittenberg was back in Pam Evans Smith Arena for their second annual Liver Cancer Awareness Game. The Tigers took on DePauw in their second conference match-up of the season and looked for their seventh win at home. The Red & White were able to continue the good luck at home with a 64-53 win over DePauw adding their sixth straight victory to their record.

The Tigers shot 38.6% from the field, 40.0% in three points, and 60% from the line. Wittenberg was able to put 64 points on the board being led by forward, Evie Wolshire with 18 points, five rebounds, and three blocks. Defensively, the Tigers were backed by Taryn Cash with eight rebounds, seven of those being defense.

Wittenberg was able to land 11 points in the first quarter and 10 points in the second to head into halftime with 21 points on the board but with a last second break by DePauw the teams headed into the locker room tied with 21 points apiece. The Red & White were able to come back in the third quarter with 17 points, outscoring the DePauw Tigers by three to cling to a three-point lead.

Up Next: Wittenberg will return to action on the road against Ohio Wesleyan on the 11th with tip-off beginning at 7:00 PM.
