Tigers Split Final Day of Spring Break Action

LEESBURG, Florida—Wittenberg softball concluded their spring break trip to Florida with an 8-2 overall record after run-ruling Millikin University 8-0, and then falling to Amherst 7-0 on Saturday. The Tigers now return to Springfield and await a March 14 home double-header against Otterbein University.

  • Katy Baumgartner, Casey Hobbs, and Abby Baker all recorded doubles in the game, as Hobbs and Baker recorded two hits each.
  • Zang picked up the win on the mound for Wittenberg, as the junior hurler tossed a four-inning one-hitter for the Tigers, walking two and striking out three.
