WOOSTER, Ohio - Senior Rachael Hatcher (West Carrollton, Ohio/West Carrollton) can add one more item to her lengthy list of on-field accomplishments with a complete game no-hitter of the Wooster Scots in an 8-0 win in Game 1 of the doubleheader. The Tigers rounded out the key North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) sweep with a 2-1 victory in the second affair.

In her seven innings, Hatcher only walked two while striking out six as the Tigers cruised to the win. Add plenty of offensive help, including a season-high 13 hits - four coming from sophomore Jessi Allen (Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley) - and the table was set for a special afternoon.

Catcher Liz Roby (London, Ohio/London) got in the act with three knocks of her own while the Tigers feasted on Wooster miscues to seal the first contest.

In the second game, Hatcher came on in the fourth to provide relief, picking up her second win of the day when senior Julie Ziegler (Sandusky, Ohio/Perkins)continued her recent run of clutch hitting with an RBI double pushing across the eventual game-winning run. On the day, junior Brooke Boswell (Hamilton, Ohio/Fairfield) went 4-for-7 at the plate with 3 RBIs and a run scored.

More important than Hatcher's individual gem, the Tigers inched one step closer to an NCAC postseason trip, a goal they could achieve with a pair of crucial games upcoming against Ohio Wesleyan on Monday, April 27 at 3:30 p.m. from Delaware.
