SPRINGFIELD, Ohio—Wittenberg men's volleyball took three sets from Olivet to claim their first MCVL win in school history Friday night. The Tigers dropped the Comets of Olivet 25-9, 25-14, and 25-17. The win propels the Tigers to 1-4 in MCVL play, and 7-4 overall on the team's inaugural season.
Top Performances
- Carter Schmidt (Hilliard, Ohio/Darby) paced the Tigers in the victory, totaling 10 kills on the night, a new career high.
- Ashton Sellers (Westerville, Ohio/Westerville Central) was a force all night for Wittenberg, as the six-foot six-inch freshman contributed eight kills of his own in the victory.
- Joel Sotos (Dublin, Ohio/Coffman) stayed true to form for the home team, as he collected 11 digs on the night and was all over the court for Wittenberg.
