LOUISVILLE, Ky. — For the third time in a month, a quartet of Wittenberg runners crossed the finish line in a new school record time in the 4x400-meter relay, this time competing at the Cardinal Twilight, a last-chance meet hosted by the University of Louisville.

The make-up of the relay was slightly different than the four runners who teamed up to set records at the Wilmington Invitational and the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) championships. At those two events, it was freshman Shawnquaya Johnson (Uhrichsville, Ohio/Claymont), sophomore Jordan Stafford (Springfield, Ohio/Greenon), sophomore Catherine Kuerbitz (Cleveland, Ohio/Regina) and sophomore Kari Domiano (Dublin, Ohio/Jerome) posting marks of 3:59.85 at Wilmington and then 3:58.95 at the NCAC championships, hosted by Ohio Wesleyan.

At Louisville, sophomore Darcy Dubuc (Grand Haven, Mich./Grand Haven) joined the mix in place of Kuerbitz, and the result was a third straight school record. The quartet crossed the finish line in 3:58.10 to finish third of four teams in the event. Almost all of the schools participating in the Cardinal Twilight were NCAA Division I or II scholarship programs.
