Tigers Tune Up NCAC Championships At Denison

GRANVILLE, Ohio - The Wittenberg track and field teams rolled into their conference championships with one final tune-up at the Denison-hosted Big Red Invitational. The unscored meet saw numerous season-best performances as the Tigers key in on one final week of preparation.

On the women's side, a pair of freshman enjoyed victories on the night, including Kari Domiano (Dublin, Ohio/Jerome)and Anna Henry (Chagrin Falls, Ohio/Kenston). Domiano won the 100 dash in a time of 13.23 while Henry outran the field in the 3,000 with a time of 10:58.34.

In men's action, freshman pole vaulter Justen Cox (Hilliard, Ohio/Davidson)cleared 13' 0.25" for a second place finish. Meanwhile, Nic Radel (Columbus, Ohio/Grandview Hts.) tossed the discus 138' 11" for another Tiger runner up placing.

The conference competition begins this weekend with the NCAC Multi-event, where a pair of Tigers compete in the decathalon and heptathlon before the meet begins in earnest on Friday and Saturday, May 1-2 at Ohio Wesleyan University.
