In action last weekend the Tigers participated in the non-scoring Bearcat Classic at the University of Cincinnati, and several athletes traveled to Wooster for the Heptathlon/Decathlon portion of the NCAC Championships. 

At the Bearcat Classic, sophomore Sarah Weide (Fort Wayne, Ind./Homestead)finished second overall in the 800 meter run with a provisional qualifying time for nationals (2:14.8). She earned NCAC Runner of the Week for her performance.

In the decathlon event at the NCAC Championships, junior Josh Guerrieri (Avon, Ohio/Avon) won the event and broke his own NCAC record for points scored with 6,180. His previous mark set last season was 5,899. This NCAA provisional qualifying mark earned him NCAC Athlete of the Week.

In the week ahead, Wittenberg travels to Ohio Wesleyan for the NCAC Championships on Friday and Saturday.
