SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – The Wittenberg men's tennis team was unable to keep pace with perennial powerhouse Denison in a North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) West Division match, falling 9-0 to the 11th-ranked team in the Central Region.

The loss dropped Wittenberg to 14-6 overall and 1-2 in the NCAC West. Denison improved to 9-6 overall and 1-1 in the NCAC West.

Wittenberg's lone win came at No. 3 doubles, where the tandem of sophomore Ian Streicker (South Lebanon, Ohio/Loveland) and junior Tyler Strong (Louisville, Ky./DuPont Manual) won in a tiebreaker. Streicker then lost a third-set tiebreaker at No. 1 singles, while his teammates all were defeated in straight sets.

Before the match, seniors Stuart Zorn (Wyoming, Ohio/Wyoming) and Sergio Fishkin (Minsk, Belarus) were honored.
