Springfield, Ohio — For the second straight year, the Wittenberg University men's and women's tennis team will host a free clinic for boys and girls ages 9 to 17 from 4-5:30 p.m. Thursday, April 12, at the David and Georgiana Albright Tennis Complex.

The clinic is part of Wittenberg's innovative Tiger GAME Plan, which incorporates a commitment to community service for each of the university's varsity athletics teams. The Tiger GAME Plan was created to ensure lifelong success for Wittenberg student-athletes by encouraging global thinking and awareness, developing a university-wide support system to ensure athletic and academic success, developing a personalized mentoring program, and engaging in community service projects.

Players and coaches in the Tiger men's and women's tennis programs will lead the clinics, along with local teaching professional Steve Wilson, class of 2006, who earned four varsity letters at Wittenberg. The David and Georgiana Albright Tennis Complex offers plenty of space, including 12 hardcourts, six of which are lighted.

Players of all skill levels are welcomed to participate, and racquets will be made available to those who do not have their own. Participants will be divided into beginner, intermediate and advanced groups.
