LIMA, Ohio — The Wittenberg men's and women's tennis teams both dropped decisions to NAIA scholarship program Northwestern Ohio. The Tiger men were defeated 9-0, while the Tiger women fell by a 6-3 margin.

The loss for the men's team was its first of the 2011-12 season after four straight wins in the fall portion. The women dropped to 1-4, although their three indoor defeats have all come against scholarship programs over the last two weeks.

The best individual performance for the men was supplied by freshman Ian Streicker (South Lebanon, Ohio/Loveland) at No. 1 singles. He dropped a 7-6, 6-3 decision.

On the women's side, junior Kacia Nolan (Indianapolis, Ind./Speedway) teamed with senior Alex Cummins (New Lebanon, Ohio/Dixie) to claim an 8-3 win at No. 3 doubles. Nolan added a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 6 singles, but the Tigers managed just one more win as senior Maggie Stewart (Bay Village, Ohio/Magnificat) won a third-set tiebreaker at the No. 4 position.
