Tigers Stay Unbeaten With Win At Cedarville

CEDARVILLE, Ohio — The Wittenberg Tigers made the short trip to Cedarville and came away with a convincing 7-2 win over the host Yellow Jackets.

The Tigers improved to 3-0 on the young season, heading into a two-day flighted tournament back home at the Georgiana Albright Tennis Complex. Cedarville fell to 0-2.

Four Tiger players were winners at both singles and doubles in the match. Freshman Ian Streicker (South Lebanon, Ohio/Loveland) continued to impress with a straight set win at No. 1 singles and an 8-2 victory at No. 2 doubles with sophomore Tyler Strong (Louisville, Ky./duPont Manual),

who was also a straight-set victor at No. 6 singles.

Sophomore Sam Wilke (Cincinnati, Ohio/Turpin) won comfortably at No. 4 singles and at No. 3 doubles with freshman Alexey Topolyanskiy (Moscow, Russia), while junior Sergio Fishkin (Minsk, Belarus) rounded things out with a big win at No. 5 singles and a narrow tiebreaker win at No. 1 doubles with freshmanAlexander Topolyanskiy (Moscow, Russia).
