Tigers Fall To Div. I Dayton In Makeup

DAYTON, Ohio — The Wittenberg men's tennis team fell to NCAA Division I opponent the University of Dayton 7-0 on Sunday, fitting in a match that was originally scheduled for Friday, March 26, and postponed due to rain. The Tigers are 9-6 overall following the loss. 

Sophomore Stephane Antwi (Rosedale, NY/McClancy Memorial) and freshman Sergio Fishkin (Minsk, Belarus)fell 8-5 in No. 1 doubles, and individually Fishkin suffered a hard fought 6-3, 6-4 loss at No. 2 singles.

Junior Bobby Fisher (Gahanna, Ohio/Lincoln) and senior Craig Lods (Chillicothe, Ohio/Chillicothe) fell in the second doubles spot before Lods put up the toughest singles fight of the day by forcing a tiebreaker in the first set to finish with a 7-5, 6-3 loss in the No. 4 spot.

The Tigers next host Ohio Northern on Thursday, April 15 at 4 p.m. on the courts at the David & Georgianna Albright Tennis Complex.
