Tigers Open Spring Break With Wins Over Seton Hill And Defiance

HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The Tiger men cruised in their first two matches in South Carolina with 9-0 and 7-2 wins over Seton Hill and Defiance, respectively. Top-flight Tiger senior Brad Seymour (Chillicothe, Ohio/Chillicothe) only dropped four games the entire day as he rolled to two singles wins.

Every player enjoyed at least one win in either the singles or doubles ranks as sophomore Bobby Fisher (Gahanna, Ohio/Lincoln) won his own singles flight over Defiance's No. 2 singles 6-4, 6-3, just moments after pairing with Seymour in a doubles victory.

Freshman Nat Bennink (Wellesley, Mass./Wellesley) enjoyed his first collegiate victory, joining fellow first-year Shaun Byrnes (Westlake, Ohio/St. Edward) in a doubles win over Seton Hill. The victory was the first of Byrnes' career as well.

On the horizon, the Tiger men take on Curry on Tuesday, March 10, at 2 p.m. from Hilton Head, S.C.
