Tigers Improve to 3-0 With Wins Over Franklin And Lewis

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - The Tiger men's tennis team continued its perfect start to the 2008-09 slate with two match victories over Franklin College and Lewis University. The Tigers topped Franklin 7-2 before dispatching of Lewis 9-0. 

In the first match, the Tigers dropped the first two doubles flights, only to come back and sweep all six singles, led by a No. 1 singles victory from Brad Seymour (Chillicothe, Ohio/Chillicothe) by a score of 6-3, 6-3. The Tigers also sawBobby Fisher (Gahanna, OH/Lincoln) at No. 2 singles, and aStephane Antwi (Rosedale, NY/Monsignor Clancy Memorial) win at No. 3 singles as well as doubles win.

Against Lewis the Tigers did not drop a set as they rolled 9-0. The top three singles all cruised to wins as the Tigers moved to 3-0 on the year.

The sweep ends the Tigers fall schedule, as they head into the winter to prepare for the conference slate coming up in the spring.
