Wittenberg Falls At NCAC Rival Wooster

WOOSTER, Ohio - The Wittenberg Tigers successfully dodged the raindrops, but they were unable to successfully defeat the host Wooster Scots. Wittenberg lost 6-3 in its final match before the 2008 North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Tournament at Oberlin next weekend.

The loss ended Wittenberg's 2007-08 regular season with records of 3-9 overall and 2-7 in the NCAC. Wooster improved to 6-12 overall and 2-4 in the conference.

Junior Brad Seymour (Chillicothe, Ohio/Chillicothe) was the Tigers' lone double-winner on this day as he claimed a straights set win at No. 1 singles and teamed with freshman Robert Fisher (Gahanna, Ohio/Lincoln) to win 8-6 at No. 1 doubles. The Tigers' other team point was scored by freshman Andy Lamb (Bluffton, Ohio/Bluffton), who split sets at No. 6 singles before pulling out a 10-5 tiebreaker win.
