Wittenberg Squeaks Past John Carroll, 5-4

DAYTON, Ohio - The Tiger men's tennis team took down John Carroll by the narrow edge of 5-4 in a close match played at the Dayton Center Courts on Saturday. 

Wittenberg lost both the number one and two singles and doubles matches but swept the rest of the match, challenging John Carroll's depth and coming away victorious as a result.

Dan McNeely (Beavercreek, Ohio/Xenia Christian) andCraig Lods (Chillicothe, Ohio/Chillicothe) took a number three win in the doubles segment to start the ball rolling.

Robert Fisher (Gahanna, Ohio/Lincoln) and Lods both came through in singles in the number three and four spots, respectively, followed by Rob Lehner (Gahanna, Ohio/St. Francis Christian) and Andy Lamb (Bluffton, Ohio/Bluffton) rounding out the winning in spots five and six.

The men will next take on the Kenyon Lords in conference action on Saturday, March 22 beginning at 4:30 p.m.
