Wittenberg University head swimming & diving coach Will Bernhardt has announced his resignation, effective October 9, 2018, as he has been named as the head swimming & diving coach at fellow North Coast Athletic Conference member Wabash College.

“Our thanks to Will for his work these past two seasons on the pool deck as our coach, in the community building relationships with local clubs and providing swim lessons, and as a genuine and caring person in our department and across campus.” said Williams, “ I know that this was a very difficult decision for him and we all wish Will, his wife, Melissa, Liam and their newest addition, Robbie, all the best in this next phase of their family’s journey”.

During his two years at Wittenberg, the women’s team compiled an overall record of 8-4 in dual meets, while the men accumulated an overall record of 4-8. Bernhardt also served as the Director of Aquatics for the HPER Center Natatorium during his time at the university.

In the interim timeframe, head women’s water polo coach, Sivan Pardon, will serve in an administrative coaching role with the program, while current swimming & diving assistant coaches Laura Harting and Jonathan Shephard will continue in their roles throughout the academic year as well.
