GRANVILLE, Ohio - Senior Molly Gustafson (West Hartford, Conn./Conard) added two more All-North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) awards to her impressive college resume to highlight a solid Day 2 at the 2014 league championship meet for the Tigers.

Gustafson placed third in the 100-yard breaststroke to become the first Wittenberg swimmer to pick up All-NCAC honors in an individual event in the 2014 meet. She touched the wall in 1:04.84 to become one of six competitors in the race to earn an NCAA provisional qualifying time.

Her individual All-NCAC finish came shortly after Gustafson swam the second leg of the 200-yard medley relay for the Tigers. She was joined by senior Sarah Wilson (Centennial, Colo./Arapahoe), freshman Amy Schulz (Waterloo, Ill./Waterloo) and sophomore Dani Lacy (Louisville, Ky./Louisville Collegiate School) en route to a third-place finish in a time of 1:46.88, which is a mere .28 off the NCAA B cut mark.

As a team, Wittenberg's women rounded out Day 2 in fifth place, up one spot from the start of the day. Kenyon leads with 1,234 points, followed by host Denison with 1,208. DePauw is third with 739, Wooster stands fourth with 582 and the Tigers round out the top five with 557 points.

On the men's side, Wittenberg is in seventh place out of 10 teams in the field with 442 points. The Tigers are just 32 points behind fifth-place Oberlin and 13.5 points back of Ohio Wesleyan for sixth place. Denison leads the way by a wide margin, thanks in large part to a dominant diving performance.

Other top finishes for the Tiger women came from Schulz (13th in the 100-yard butterfly), Lacy (11th in the 200-yard freestyle), Wilson (ninth in the 100-yard backstroke), and senior Claire Kozlowski (Dublin, Ohio/Jerome), who placed 11th in the 100-yard breaststroke.

The top finish for the Tiger men was supplied by junior James Dumstorf (Louisville, Ky./St. Xavier), who finished ninth in the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 58.53. His time of 58.05 in the morning's preliminary race was just .24 off the NCAA B Cut line.

Also of note for the men was another strong diving finish from junior Eric Roberts (Willits, Calif./Willits). After finishing ninth in the 3-meter event on Wednesday, Roberts placed eighth in the 1-meter diving with an outstanding score of 407.30.
