Tigers Big First Half Leads to Win

Springfield, OH – The Men's Soccer team took on the Muskingum Fighting Muskies and after a first half barrage from the Tigers offense, the team was able to walk away with a 4-1 win.

In just the third minute of the game, Nick Harding found the back of the net after an assist from Christopher Meyer to give Wittenberg a 1-0 lead. Kees Ciric followed up that goal just ten minutes later to log one of his own. Only a minute and a half after Ciric put his in, Meyer added to the lead off of an assist from Logan Evans to end the first half with a 3-0 lead.

Again in the second half, Ciric added another goal to his total and Muskingum scored late to finish the match with a Wittenberg win.

During the match, Ciric led the team in shots with 8, 7 of which came on goal as well. Meyer and Evans each had an assist to lead the team in that category. In goal, Peter Adams logged another win, saving 2 of the 3 shots on goal against him. Wittenberg also led in shots, 22-5, and corners, 9-1 during the match.
