HIRAM, Ohio - The Wittenberg Tigers rallied from a first-half deficit to take a one-goal lead in the late-going, only to have host Hiram pick up a late equalizer to secure a 2-2 draw.

The stalemate left Wittenberg with a 3-11-3 overall record, including a mark of 0-6-1 in the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC). Hiram is now 6-7-3 overall and 2-4-1 in the league.

The Terriers jumped on top in the 41st minute, but Wittenberg responded in the 58th minute as freshman Robbie Russell (New Carlisle, Ohio/Tecumseh) scored off a through ball pass from sophomore Daniel Roberts (Findlay, Ohio/Van Buren). The Tigers then appeared to grab the momentum in the final moments as freshman Alberto Zaragoza (New Carlisle, Ohio/Tecumseh) tallied for a team-best sixth time on the season.

Hiram responded, however, with a goal at the 87:25 mark. That set the stage for a pair of scoreless overtime periods, although there was no shortage of scoring opportunities.

For the game, Hiram held a 25-15 advantage in shots and a 7-4 edge in corner kick opportunities. The Tigers were paced offensively by Zaragoza with four shots, while senior Zack Moore (Kettering, Ohio/Alter), sophomore Nick Foley (Fishers, Ind./Cathedral) and Russell each added two shots.

In goal, freshman Hunter Bock (Pataskala, Ohio/Watkins Memorial) was credited with seven saves.
