Tigers Finish 12th at Tartan Invitational

Ligonier, PA- The Men's Golf team traveled to the Laurel Valley Golf Club in Pennsylvania to compete in the Tartan Invitational and came away with a 12th place finish after starting off the tournament on fire. 

As a team, Wittenberg carded a first round 295 (+7), a second round 315 (+27) and a third round 328 (+40) to finish with a 938 (+74) 

The highest finisher for the Tigers was Josh Wright, who finished tied for 15th. Wright shot a first round 74 (+2), a 77 (+5) in the second and a third round 82 (+10) for a total of 233 (+17). 

Next for the Tigers was JF Aber, who tied for 22nd after shooting rounds of 76 (+4), 77 (+5) and 81 (+9) for a total of 234 (+18). 

Jacob Yarbrough finished tied after carding a total of 235 (+19) with rounds of 71 (-1), 81 (+9) and 83 (+11). 

Finishing tied for 51st was Mark Sulek. He carded rounds of 74 (+2), 80 (+8) and 83 (+11) for a total of 237 (+21). 

Rounding out the Tiger golfers was Nick Pidgeon, who had the most consistent rounds of the Tigers, shooting rounds of 79 (+7), 81 (+9) and 82 (+10) for a total of 242 (+26). 

Next Up-The Tigers will compete in their home invitational at the Springfield Country Club on Sunday, October 15th and Monday, October 16th.
