Aber Has Record Weekend as Tigers Take Top Spot at DIII Showcase

French Lick, IN – The Wittenberg Tiger Men's Golf took the top spot amongst the field of nine teams at the DIII Showcase from the Donald Ross Course at French Lick Resort. As a team, Wittenberg carded a three-round total of 881 (+41). The Tigers were able to overtake Luther College during the final round of competition, besting the Norse by two strokes at 883 (+43).

J.F. Aber paced the field with a winning 54-hole score of 202 (-8) on the weekend. Aber posted just the seventh round of 66 in Wittenberg men's golf history in his third round from the DIII Showcase. With this three-round score of 202, Aber now has the three-round low score record in Wittenberg history. Aber's score puts him ahead of former Tiger All-Americans Colin Laszlo (-4) and Cameron Willis (-7) who previously held the three-round low score record of 209.

Over the course of three rounds, Aber tallied 13 birdies with just five bogeys, carding rounds of 69-67-66.

Wittenberg also saw a top 10 finish from Austin Georger, finishing T-6 with rounds of 76-73-74. Cracking the top 20, Maclean Dudasko and Jake Yarbrough finished back-to-back. Dudasko claimed a 16th place finish, carding a three-round total of 229 with scores of 76-76-77. Yarbrough tallied a 54-hole score of 230, posting rounds of 75-76-79, for a 17th place finish.

Grant Klepitsch made his way inside the top 30 with a 26th place finish, carding a 54-hole score 239 with rounds of 81-82-76.
