Tiger Golf Sweep Bishops On Senior Day

Springfield, OH - The Wittenberg University men's golf team competed in their third conference match over the weekend against the Battling Bishops of Ohio Wesleyan University at Oakhaven Golf Club in Delaware, Ohio. The Tigers returned to Springfield Country Club on a rainy Sunday afternoon for a dual match with the Battling Bishops. The Tigers secured a first-place finish on Saturday, finishing with a 300 (+16) at the Oakhaven Golf Club. Host, Ohio Wesleyan finished just eight strokes back, ending the day with a 308 (+24). Evan DiSanto and Daniel Castleberry took home 1st and 2nd on Saturday. DiSanto posted the low score for Wittenberg with a career-low 18-hole round of 69 (-2). Castleberry finished right behind his fellow Tiger, posting a score of 72 (+1), tied for a season-low. J.F. Aber finished tied for seventh with a score of 79 (+8). 

The Tigers returned to Springfield Country Club on a rainy Sunday afternoon for a dual match with the Battling Bishops. The Tigers once again took home first place with a score of 293 (+5). The Tigers took home all top four spots. DiSanto set the pace with a score of 71 (-1). Christopher Dunne finished in second posting a season-low score of 73 (+1). Nick Pidgeon and Aber wrapped out the top four with scores of 74 (+2) and 75 (+3).
