Tigers Secure Top Spot At Randal Sandler Invitational

Liberty, IN – The Wittenberg University men's golf team competed in their first two-day tournament with their largest field to date over the weekend at the Randal Sadler Invitational from Harbor Links Golf Course. The Tigers took the top spot amongst the seven-team field, posting a 36-hole score of 590 (+14). The Tigers jumped out to an early lead after day one, recording a first-day score of 297 as a team. Wittenberg came back on day two, shaving four shots from their score, carding a final-round score of 293.

Christopher Dunne worked his way up the leaderboard after finishing day one T-6, carding an 18-hole score of 76 (+4). Dunne earned a T-2 finish with a day-two score of 71 (+3), shooting 147 through 36 holes of competition J.F. Aber posted scores of 74-75, maintaining a fourth-place finish amongst the field, carding a 149 (+5) 36-hole total. Daniel Castleberry and Nick Pidgeon each earned a T-5 finish with a 150 (+6) for the Tiger squad. Castleberry carded a day-one score of 74, following up with a 76 on day two. Pidgeon tallied a 73-77 total in the two-day tournament. Evan DiSanto, competing as an individual, posted scores of 77-73 was the third Tiger to earn a T-5 finish amongst the field. Will Birkholz rounded out the Tiger competitors, earning an eighth-place finish, posting rounds of 80 and 71.
