Tigers Take Strong Fourth At Northern Kentucky

FALMOUTH, Ky. — The Wittenberg Tigers went toe-to-toe with a field completely filled by scholarship programs and came away with a solid fourth-place finish at the E-Z Go Classic, hosted by Northern Kentucky University.

In the Tigers' final competition against primarily non-Division III programs, Wittenberg finished 12 strokes off the pace set by the host Nourse and a mere 17 strokes over par. The Tigers' team total of 593 equalled the score posted by Grand Valley State University and beat scores posted by Findlay and Spalding.

Individually, freshman Craig Osterbrock (Wilmington, Ohio/Wilmington) led with a two-day total of 148, including a two-under par 70 on Day 2. That equalled the low score of the round.

Junior Bleu George (Lancaster, Ohio/Fisher Catholic) and sophomore Ricky Boerner (Hilliard, Ohio/Watterson) were next with matching 150s, good for a 16th place tie. Sophomore Jordan Millice (Cable, Ohio/Triad) was next with a 152, good for 24th place, and sophomore Ben Smith (North Bend, Ohio/Elder) rounded things out with a 154, good for 31st.
