Springfield, OH – The Wittenberg Men's Basketball team closed out their annual holiday classic taking on the Britons of Albion College, falling by a final score of 76-63. Levi Boettcher and Josh Tolliver led the way with 11 points each for the Red and White. Boettcher was a rebound shy of a double-double, pulling down nine boards. Rashaad Ali-Shakir facilitated the Tiger offense, finishing the night with a team-high five assists.

It was another back-and-forth battle in the championship game with the two sides tied at 36-36 at the intermission. Wittenberg was led by newcomer Tolliver in the first half, coming off the bench for the Red and White with 10 points on 4 of 6 attempts from the floor. Three fellow Tigers added five points each, helping Wittenberg put together a 40 percent clip from the floor. Each team was able to put together scoring runs of seven points in the first half, as the scoreboard saw five lead changes and saw the score show a tie five times.

The Tigers were unable to get the friendly roll in the second half, converting on just 8 of 27 from the floor down the stretch. Albion struggled to put much of an offense together in the second-half, the Britons took advantage of scoring inside, posting 30 points in the paint on the night.
