Tigers Fall in Overtime

Meadville, PA- Wittenberg hit the road for a match-up in Meadville, PA against the Allegheny Gators. The Tigers went four quarters deadlocked at 0-0 with the Gators and headed into an overtime situation. Allegheny pulled ahead in overtime with a goal to take the game 1-0, marking Wittenberg's record at 4-4 on the season.

Wittenberg's offense was able to draw nine penalty corners and got twelve shots off with eight on goal throughout the game. In goal for the Tigers, was Emma Hurguy who faced ten shots on goal and recorded nine saves on the day. Hurguy now sits at 34 saves on the season, averaging four saves per game with a .756 save percentage.

NCAC Stats Leaders- Regan Mazzulli and Allison Ormsby are in a four-way tie for second in the conference for assists with two each. Mazzulli, Ormsby, and Katie Webber all sit in the top 10 in the NCAC for goals with a combined nine. Regan Mazzulli and Allison Ormsby are both currently tied at number six for points on the season with eight each. Emma Hurguy currently ranks number three in NCAC goalie leaders for saves with 34.

NCAA Stats- Freshman, Shannon Csordos, is tied for 29th in defensive saves with two.

The Tigers will be back home on the 29th for another match-up against the Transylvania Pioneers.
