Joey Antonelli was named Assistant Director of Athletics Facilities & Recreation at Wittenberg in 2023.

He was named to the position after serving as a graduate assistant to the athletic director at Wittenberg from 2021 to 2023 during which he helped oversee game day operations for the athletic department and ticketing operations for football and men's and women's basketball games. He also assisted the athletic director with starting the women's bowling program at Wittenberg.

Prior to coming to Wittenberg, Antonelli served as event operations manager at Empire Sports Management in Charleston, S.C., and as an equipment staff and football operations intern at the University of South Carolina in Columbia.

A native of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., Antonelli graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2018 with a bachelor's degree in sport and entertainment management and went on to obtain a master's degree in coaching and leadership/sports administration from Wittenberg in 2023.
