In eight years, his Wittenberg teams won 142 games and lost 55, capturing five OAC regular season and four OAC tournament titles. in 1970, he went to Western Michigan, where six years later his team won the MAC championship and established a conference record of 19 straight wins that still stands. in 1976, Miller went to Ohio State and in 10 years his Buckeyes won 176 games and lost 118. OSU played four times in the NCAA tournament and three times in the NIT. His last squad captured the 1986 NIT title.
