In 1985, Wittenberg University held the first Athletics Hall of Honor induction, enshrining 12 student-athletes and coaches who blazed the way for thousands of Tigers who followed in their footsteps.
Every year since, the Athletics Hall of Honor has continued to induct the finest student-athletes, coaches and administrators. Honorees have excelled in their service to the university, either on the field of competition or behind the scenes, making possible everything our student-athletes accomplish.
From the Hall of Honor Constitution:
Any individual of good character who has given outstanding performance in athletic competition at Wittenberg shall be eligible for nomination ten years after the graduation of his or her class. Persons who have not qualified for a degree, but left the University in good standing, may be nominated. Nominees may also include coaches, managers, trainers, and other persons who have made outstanding contributions to intercollegiate athletics at Wittenberg. An individual may be nominated posthumously.
The Hall of Honor
The Wittenberg Athletics Hall of Honor is located in the lobby of the Health, Physical Education and Recreation (HPER) Center, outside the entrance to the Bob Rosencrans Fitness Center and near the entrance to Pam Evans Smith Arena. The Hall of Honor features bronze plaques commemorating each inductee, serving as both reminder and inspiration to everyone who dons the Red & White.

Induction ceremonies are held annually during Homecoming Weekend.
The Hall of Honor Constitution
The Hall of Honor Committee is formed to select each class of inductees and is governed by the Athletics Hall of Honor Constitution.
Nominations
Nominations may be submitted by anyone at any time using the online form linked below. Nominations do not expire, meaning that candidates not chosen for induction will continue as a candidate in following years. Nominations must be accompanied by supporting evidence of outstanding contributions to athletics at Wittenberg.
