From Hall of Honor press release dated Dec. 1, 1991:

Cliff Heskett distinguished himself in basketball, baseball and track during his Wittenberg athletic career. He set an OAC record in the two mile run in 1940 and reportedly was the first Wittenberg player to score 300 points in a season in basketball. He was selected all-Ohio Conference three years in basketball and ended his career with 757 points, also a Tiger record at the time. Heskett was chosen as the basketball team's MVP in 1941.
