
WILMINGTON, Ohio—Both Tiger Cross Country programs made the short trip to Wilmington to take part in the Jenna Strong Fall Classic on Friday. The field of schools in attendance was extremely steep, but both programs held their own in the mix. The women's program finished 9th out of the 38 teams running the 5K course, while the men finished in 22nd out of the 38 teams running the 8K course.
The Tigers were led by Alexis Gray who took home 11th place individual honors on Friday, after completing the 5K in 18:28.2. Katherine Phillips finished 34th out of the 366 runners at 19:14.2. Lorin Conti was not far behind at 38th, with a time of 19:17.1.
On the men's side, senior Jon Osman finished the 8K in 25:46.7, good enough for a 21st place finish out of the 395 runners in action. Charles Rodeheffer came in just behind Osman at 25:57.0, good enough for 29th.
Both programs return to action at the NCAC Championships hosted by DePauw on October 30.
