The Wittenberg men's and women's cross country teams put the finishing touches on the 2012 season with a pair of solid finishes in the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional Championship meet, hosted by Anderson University.

The Tiger men claimed 23^rd place in the 37-team field, finishing with an even 600 points. The Tiger women placed 24^th out of 33 teams with 699 points.

The top individual finish for the Tigers was turned in by junior Molly King (Springfield, Ohio/Northeastern), who covered the 6-kilometer course in a time of 23:08 to place 44^th. She was followed by junior Shannon Kelleher (Hilliard, Ohio/Darby) in 137^th place.

Rounding out the point-scorers for the Tiger women were junior Maggie McIlvain (East Liverpool, Ohio/East Liverpool) in 177^th, senior Chelsey Williams (Fort Wayne, Ind./Canterbury) in 184^th and freshman Sarah Webb (Twinsburg, Ohio/Twinsburg) in 185^th.

Leading the charge for the Tiger men was junior Jacob Kuntz (Versailles, Ky./Woodford), who crossed the finish line in a time of 26:48, good for 83^rd place. He was followed closely by senior Trevor Grandy (Dublin, Ohio/Coffman), who covered the 8-kilometer course in 26:52 to finish 89^th.

The top five for the men also included junior Wade Westbrook (Columbus, Ohio/Whetstone) in 105^th, sophomore Adam Kapuscinski (Cincinnati, Ohio/Sycamore) in 150^th and junior Sean Redfield (Fredonia, NY/St. Francis) in 177^th.
