Wittenberg placed 24th in the 2012 meet, hosted by Anderson, as Molly leads individually in 43rd place.

After finishing a team-best 12th at the NCAC Championships at Wooster, Molly King earned second-team all-conference honors.

The NCAC cross country coaches turned out to be quite prescient with their predictions, as the Tigers finished where they were picked in the pre-championship poll: the men ninth and the women eighth.

Heading into the NCAC Championship Meet at the College of Wooster on Saturday, the Wittenberg women have been picked to finish eighth by the coaches.

Among a diverse and competitive field, the Wittenberg cross country teams turned in strong team finishes at the Wilmington Fall Classic Friday evening.

The Wittenberg cross country teams faced off with most of the state on Saturday at the All-Ohio Championships hosted by Cedarville University. The women finished 14th among 21 NCAA Division III teams and the men finished 16th among 22.

Molly King turned in another top-10 finish to lead the Tigers to sixth place in the 12-team Otterbein Invitational.

The Tigers went north to the Calvin College Invitational to continue their 2012 season, and will return to the Buckeye state having reached some important milestones.

Wittenberg started the 2012 season with a second-place finish in the Intercollegiate division of the Meijer Flyer Invitational.
