CLEVELAND, OH – Two players from the Tiger Women’s volleyball team have earned postseason awards from the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC). Junior libero/defensive specialist Ally White (Harrison, OH / Harrison) made first team All-NCAC, while freshman middle hitter Clare O'Malley (Avon, OH / St. Joseph's Academy) was named Newcomer of the Year and received second-team All-NCAC.
On the season, White played in 27 matches covering 104 sets. Offensively, she joined the attack to register two kills on 49 total attacks, and she handed out 65 assists, in addition to ranking among the team leaders with 36 service aces. Defensively, White led the NCAC with 507 digs, good for an average of 4.88 digs per set. O’Malley also played in all 27 matches, also covering all 104 sets the Tigers played in 2024. She ranked second on the team with 231 kills, good for an average of 2.22 kills per set on 564 total attacks. O'Malley led Wittenberg and ranked third in the NCAC in attack percentage at .303, and she was just as impactful on defense with 14 solo blocks and 59 total blocks to lead the Tigers and rank 10th in the conference.
The Tigers finished 17-10 overall this season and 5-2 in the NCAC in a tie for second place with DePauw and Ohio Wesleyan behind Denison, which finished at 6-1 with its only NCAC loss coming at the hands of Wittenberg. The No. 4 seed in the conference tournament, Wittenberg defeated Hiram 3-0 in the quarterfinals before falling to No. 1 seed Denison in the semifinals, 3-1.
