Tigers Clip Down Owls On The Road

Gambier, OH – The No. 11 Wittenberg Women's Volleyball team secured their 16th win overall and third conference win of the season. In beating the Kenyon Owls in three sets, the Tigers saw a powerful performance from graduate student, Katie Hiestand, who accumulated 16 kills out of the Tigers' 39 total, with a .429 hitting %.

The team combined for 36 assists, 30 of which came from Junior setter, Mack Ricketts. The tigers had nine service aces in total as Freshman, Ally White, led the category with three in a row. Senior, Sarah Hettich, led in blocks with 4, out of Wittenberg's 11 total. 

The Tigers are now 3-0 in conference play, and 16-3 overall. Wittenberg will be back in action Wednesday night at home for the NCAC matchup with Ohio Wesleyan, at 7:00 PM.

  • Wittenberg leads the conference in kills, assists, and hitting-percentage.
