Tigers Take Down Wilmington From MSJ Invitational

Cincinnati, OH – The Wittenberg Tiger Women's Volleyball team picked up their second win of the season, defeating Wilmington College 3-0 (25-12, 25-12, 25-13). With the win, the Tiger's improve to 2-1 on the early season.

  • Tyler Linkhart led the Tiger offense logging a .524 kill percentage with 13 kills on 21 attempts.
  • Katie Hiestand posted 14 kills on 29 swings with just one error, adding two block assists.
  • The Wittenberg offense ran an efficient system, logging sideout sets of 75, 66 and 78 percent in the sweep of the Quakers.
  • As a unit, Wittenberg tallied a .351 kill percentage on the afternoon, putting down 39 kills on 94 swings with just six errors.
  • Mack Ricketts continued her double-digit assist streak, recording her first double-double of the season, posting 28 assists with 11 digs. Ava Hampton supported the defensive effort with 11 digs of her own as well.

The Tigers will return to action on Tuesday, September 6, continuing their road warrior mentality, taking on Earlham College at 7:00 pm.
