Tigers Continue Win Streak Over OWU

Springfield, OH- The Tigers faced off against the Ohio Wesleyan Fighting Bishops in Pam Evans Arena. Wittenberg was able to sweep Ohio Wesleyan with a three-set win and add to their winning streak.

Set 1:

Wittenberg was evenly matched in the first set with Ohio Wesleyan up at times. The Tigers were able to defeat the Fighting Bishops in the first set with a score of 25-23. Ohio Wesleyan was able to lead in blocks and block assists in the first set while Wittenberg led in kills, assists, and digs. Katie Hiestand led the Tigers in kills with 4 while Ashley Brooks was able to tally 9 assists.

Set 2:

The Tigers found their momentum in the second set and were able to clinch the match with a score of 25-13. Katie Hiestand continued to lead the Tigers with 6 more kills against the Fighting Bishops. Wittenberg continued to lead in kills, assists, and digs.

Set 3:

Wittenberg was able to sweep Ohio Wesleyan in the third set with a score of 25-17. The Tigers ended with a hitting percentage of .160. Katie Hiestand led the Tigers in overall kills with a total of 16, followed by Paige Kucinic, Aubrey Cox, and Cora Lutz with 6 each. The win contributes to the Tigers 4 game win streak and moves them to 3-0 in conference play.

The Tigers will be in New Concord, OH to face off against John Carroll University and Muskingum University on Saturday, October 5th. Wittenberg will be in action at 2 PM against the Lobos following at 4 PM against the Muskies.
