SPRINGFIELD, Ohio-- #3 Wittenberg won their ninth straight match on Wednesday night in Springfield, as the Tigers improved to 7-0 in NCAC play after downing the Ladies of Kenyon 3-0. Wittenberg commanded the match, with set-scores of 25-11, 25-21, and 25-18 on their way to the NCAC win. The victory puts the Tigers at 15-3 overall in 2016, as the Tigers sit at #3 in the country in the latest AVCA Rankings.
MATCH NOTES
- Aubrey Cox and Kendall Farmer led the Tigers with seven kills each, while Whitney Hoover chipped in six.
- Hoover's kill-percentage of .750 led the Tigers, as the freshman matched her career high in kills on Wednesday night.
- Madison Manger defended well for the Tigers, notching 15 digs in the match, while Caroline Warner and Megan Flaherty each recorded seven.
- As a team, Wittenberg managed to hold Kenyon to a kill-percentage of .053, while the Ladies also committed 23 attack errors in the match.

- "Tonight's match was a total team effort. It's great to see young players executing with confidence. Kenyon is a solid team that has run into some unfortunate injuries but I'm certain will remain competitive," said Coach Labrador.
