Karen played volleyball under Coach Caitlin Greiner and swam for Coach Jim Sheridan... For volleyball Karen received the Casey Cooley Underclassman Award in 2011, the Bull Dog Award in 2012, MVP in 2013, and was a member of the All-Conference Team in 2013 and 2014... In swimming Karen was awarded the Bull Frog Award in 2014 and 2015, was an All-American in the Medley Relay in 2015, and was an All-Conference honoree in the 2012-2015 seasons... Valedictorian of her class, member of National Honor Society, Interfaith Alliance Club, Youth Group, and participated in the Indiana Math League.
