WAYNESBURG, Pa. - The Wittenberg Tigers opened action in the Waynesburg Tournament with a convincing win over Gallaudet. The win raised the Tigers' record to 10-2 on the still-young season.
Wittenberg struggled a bit as the match went on, but the third-ranked team in the nation was up to the task in the end. Statistically, several players enjoyed strong offensive matches, led by sophomore outside hitter Jan Kehres, who finished with 10 kills and five aces. Sophomore setters Sarah Matesich and Ashley Anderson shared the duties in this match, splitting 28 assists almost evenly.
