SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - The Wittenberg Tigers have made a habit of dominating North Coast Athletic Conference opponents, and on Wednesday it was more of the same as Earlham was the victim by a 3-0 margin.
The win moved the Tigers to 13-3 overall and 2-0 in the NCAC heading into a key showdown with Wooster, which is off to a 16-3 start overall, including a 2-0 mark in the conference. Wittenberg has won 61 straight NCAC matches, dating back to 1997.
Statistically, the Tigers played a lot of different people in this match, spreading the wealth evenly. Sophomore middle hitter Caitlin Augustus was solid with seven kills and five blocks, while senior middle hitter Emily Dixon added six kills in just one game (and the last few points of Game 2) and sophomore outside hitter Jan Kehres finished with six kills as well. Rounding things out, sophomore outside hitter Emily Bell showed the way defensively with 20 digs.
