CLEVELAND, OH - Eleven student-athletes representing Wittenberg Women’s Track and Field earned 2025 Indoor All-North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) honors as a result of their performances during the championship meet at Oberlin College February 28-March 1. The outstanding individual performances powered Wittenberg to a second-place finish in the final team standings.
Leading the way for the Tigers was freshman Izzy Henderson (East Liberty, OH / Benjamin Logan), who earned a pair of special awards. Henderson racked up NCAC Women's Indoor Field Events Athlete of the Year and NCAC Women’s Indoor Newcomer of the Year honors after she placed first in the long jump, second in the high jump, and third in the pentathlon. She also placed fourth in the 200 meters, fifth in the 60-meter hurdles, and seventh in the 60 meter to conclude the meet earning a whopping 37 points for the Tigers.
Wittenberg's All-NCAC performers in the 2025 NCAC Indoor Championships:
- Henderson earned first place in the long jump with a distance of 18’01.00”, second place in the high jump with a height of 5’02.50”, and third place in the pentathon with a score of 3039;
- Senior Julissa Williams (Lorain, OH / Lorain) finished first in the high jump with height of 5’03.75” and earned third in the triple jump with a distance of 35’04.75”;
- Junior Tiffany Hix (Prospect, OH / Elgin) earned second place in the pole vault with a height of 10’10.75”;
- Senior Zora Shakhan (Pickerington, OH / Pickerington Central) placed third in the 60 meters with a time of 7.90;
- With a time of 25.92, senior Meghan Frazier (Alliance, OH / Alliance) earned third place in the 200 meters and first place in the 400 meters with a time of 48.00. In addition, Frazier's time in the prelims in the 400 meters broke an NCAC record;
- Junior Abbey Danne (Johnstown, OH / Big Walnut) finished second in the 400 meters with a time of 1:00.56;
- Junior Tymeerah De’Armond (Springfield, OH / Springfield) placed third in the 400 meters with a time of 1:01.40
Finally, in the 4x400-meter relay, the quartet of Danne, freshman Lexie Greer (Venedocia, OH / Spencerville), De’Armond, and Frazier placed second with a time of 4:02.47 to earn All-NCAC honors.
