
| 2024 USTFCCCA NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field All-Region Honorees |
SPRINGFIELD — Ten Wittenberg student-athletes earned USTFCCCA NCAA Division III All-Great Lakes Region honors for the 2024 outdoor track and field season, the organization announced on Friday.
The top five individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each of the members of a top-three relay team.
Junior Meghan Frazier (Alliance, Ohio/Alliance) led the Wittenberg women's track and field team with a pair of All-Region accolades in the 400 meters and 4x100 relay. The remaining North Coast Athletic Conference champion 4x100 relay members earning All-Region status include juniors Zora Shakhan (Pickerington, Ohio/Central), Lindsey Magoteaux (Sidney, Ohio/Lehman Catholic) and Haleigh Willison (Crooksville, Ohio/Crooksville).
Frazier ranks fourth in the Great Lakes Region in the 400 with a school-record time of 55.82 seconds, which ranks 20th nationally in Division III. She is now a five-time USTFCCCA All-Region honoree this year after earning the accolade in the 60, 400 and 4x400 relay during the indoor season. She was also a national qualifier in the 400.
The 4x100 relay team ranks third in the region with a time of 47.84 seconds.
Juniors Taylor Weiss (Powell, Ohio/Olentangy Liberty) and Julissa Williams (Lorain, Ohio/Lorain) each earned All-Region honors in the high jump. They rank tied for first and third, respectively, in the Great Lakes Region with marks of 1.70 meters and 1.69 meters. Nationally, those heights rank tied for seventh and tied for 11th, respectively. Weiss and Williams earned All-Region status in the high jump during the indoor season as well and were national qualifiers in the event. Williams was the NCAC champion in both the indoor and outdoor high jump.
Sophomore Tiffany Hix (Prospect, Ohio/Elgin) earned All-Region recognition in the triple jump, ranking fourth in the Great Lakes Region with a school-record mark of 11.59 meters.
Sophomore Ziciah Gibson (Cambridge, Ohio/Cambridge) was an All-Region honoree in the heptathlon, ranking fourth in the Great Lakes Region with a score of 3,915 points. This marks her second All-Region honor of the year joining the one she earned in pentathlon during the indoor season.
Junior Conor Kolka (Dexter, Mich./Dexter) and freshman Jayden McKinster (Springfield, Ohio/Springfield) earned All-Region accolades in men's outdoor track and field.
Kolka ranks fifth in the Great Lakes Region and 15th nationally in the 10,000 meters with a school-record time of 29:42.25. Named the 2024 NCAC Distance Athlete of the Year for the outdoor season, Kolka won conference titles in the 5,000 and 10,000 meters and was the indoor champion in the 3,000.
McKinster was the NCAC champion in the discus this spring and ranks third in the Great Lakes Region in the event with a mark of 49.38 meters.
The Wittenberg men's and women's track and field teams won a combined three NCAC championships this season. The women won both the indoor and outdoor titles, and the men won the indoor championship and placed second outdoors.
The 2024 track and field season concludes with the NCAA Division III Championships, scheduled for May 23-25 at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
