SPRINGFIELD — Wittenberg sophomore Tiffany Hix (Prospect, Ohio/Elgin) was named the North Coast Athletic Conference Field Athlete of the Week in women's outdoor track and field for the week of March 25-31.

This marks the second career NCAC Athlete of the Week accolade for Hix, who earned the honor earlier this year during the indoor season.

The latest recognition comes after she placed second in the pole vault at the Cedarville Yellow Jacket Open on Saturday with a school-record mark of 3.47 meters, breaking the prior record of 3.27 meters set by Gabrielle Draginoff in 2017. That mark currently leads the conference and ranks 20th nationally.

Hix also placed third in the triple jump with a personal-best mark of 10.85 meters, which ranks second in the conference.

The 2024 NCAC champion in the indoor pole vault, Hix scored 14 points in the two events, helping Wittenberg to a fourth-place finish of 14 teams at the meet, which featured a mix of schools from all NCAA divisions.

The Tigers return to action on Saturday at the Marv Frye Invitational at Ohio Wesleyan.
