GAMBIER — Sophomore Tiffany Hix (Prospect, Ohio/Elgin) won the North Coast Athletic Conference championship in the pole vault to lead the Wittenberg women's track and field team to the top of the team standings on Day 1 of the NCAC Indoor Championships at Kenyon College on Friday.

- Wittenberg leads the team standings with 71.5 points. DePauw is second with 47 points, and Ohio Wesleyan is third with 41.5 points.
- Wittenberg entered Friday's portion of the competition with nine points following last weekend's pentathlon.
Wittenberg Highlights
- The Tigers finished the day with five All-Conference finishes.
- Hix won the pole vault with a mark of 3.34 meters. This marks her second All-Conference honor in the event, as she placed third as a freshman.
- Sophomore Aidan Orth (Cincinnati, Ohio/Anderson) and freshman Jenna Delp (Canton, Ohio/GlenOak) earned All-NCAC honors with second-place finishes in the weight throw and long jump, respectively. Orth posted a mark of 15.29 meters in the weight throw, and Delp posted a mark of 5.18 meters in the long jump.
- Freshmen G'Niyah Brown (Dayton, Ohio/Wayne) and Maddi Clark (Mentor, Ohio/Mentor) earned All-NCAC recognition with third-place finishes in the long jump and 5,000 meters, respectively. Brown posted a mark of 5.08 meters in the long jump, and Clark ran a time of 18:11.47 in the 5,000.
- Freshman Story Laing (Granville, Ohio/Granville) joined Hix in scoring in the pole vault, tying for fourth place with a mark of 3.09 meters.
- Junior Lainee Valentine (Marion, Ohio/River Valley), freshman Michaela Stroder (Springfield, Ohio/Springfield) and junior Julissa Williams (Lorain, Ohio/Lorain) joined Delp and Brown as scorers in the long jump. Valentine was fourth with a mark of 5.08 meters, Stroder was fifth with a mark of 5.03 meters and Williams was eighth with a mark of 4.97 meters.
- Sophomore Emma Hawk (Marion, Ohio/River Valley) and junior Megan Keys (Dublin, Ohio/Jerome) joined Clark in scoring in the 5,000 meters. Hawk placed fourth in 18:15.70, and Keys was sixth in 18:29.17.
- The distance medley relay team of freshman Alex Couch (Howard, Ohio/Mount Vernon), sophomore Abbey Danne (Johnstown, Ohio/Big Walnut), junior Victoria Pipinich (Fort Worth, Texas/All Saints Episcopal) and sophomore Mackenzie Kelley (Altoona, Pa./Altoona) ran 13:15.02 for a seventh-place finish.
