Senior women's track & field athlete, Alexis Gray, along with the Wittenberg Women's Track & Field team earned postseason Academic Honors from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), it was announced by the organization on July 16.

Gray was one of 13 women student-athletes from the North Coast Athletic Conference to be named a 2019-20 USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete. Gray earned the award after closing out her undergraduate degree at Wittenberg with a cumulative GPA of 3.37 and also earning an invitation to the 2020 NCAA Div. III Indoor Track & Field Champoonships. To qualify for USTFCCCA All-Academic honor, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.30 and must have met at least one of the following athletic standards: Be accepted to the NCAA Indoor Championship; finished the regular season ranked in the national top-50 in an individual event or ranked in the national top-35 in a relay event on the official NCAA Descending Order List.

In addition to Gray, the Wittenberg University Women's Track & Field Team received the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team Award after posting a team Cumulative GPA of 3.20 in the Spring 2020 Semester. To qualify for the the All-Academic Team honor, a team must carry a cumulative GPA of 3.1 or higher on a scale of 4.0 through the most recent semester/quarter. A total of 359 teams were honored for their academics, including 209 women's programs and 150 men's squads.
